Buckeye Chapter Members,
We are excited to announce the NKY Fall-ish Driving for 2025! The tour is on Sunday, August 24 with all new routes. We we will travel the rustic back roads of Kentucky from Dry Ridge to Bardstown for lunch, and return to the Florence area to finish the day.
Difficulty levels are now specified for each driving tour and take into consideration the number and types of turns, elevation changes, tour duration, and the potential for motion sickness. This is especially important for drivers who are considering passengers. Level 1 is low, Level 2 is medium, and Level 3 is high. The NKY Fall-ish is a Level 1 driving tour.
What to drive? BMW club members are automotive enthusiasts at heart. Many own multiple brands and models of vehicles. We encourage you to drive the vehicle of your choice and enjoy the experience.
The tour will originate at Starbucks Coffee in Dry Ridge KY, located off I-75 at Exit 159. We will meet at 8:30 AM, get situated, fueled up, confirm electronic waiver signatures, and drivers can begin the route prior to 9:00 AM. For those needing fuel, Shell and BP stations are located at either side of Starbucks.
The morning segment is 118-miles southwest to Bardstown Bourbon Company where we will stop for lunch and relaxation.
An expansive paved parking area is located in front of the the facility.
The afternoon segment is 124-miles to Crittenden for a final gathering at the Grape Vines Wine Bar and Bistro. Paved parking is located in front of the winery.
Important notes:
- For those that cannot make the start of the drive, feel free to meet up with us anywhere along the route. Drivers are also welcome peel off after lunch. Please email me directly if making alternate plans.
- With the exception of severe weather or related road condition issues, the tour will take place rain or shine.
- Driving Directions:
Please refer to links below for turn by turn directions for each route segment. These are much easier to follow with a navigator. Google Maps links require some degree of interaction during the drive. Rallista is a mobile app designed for driving events and requires no intervention. Both mapping systems contain the same routes, however, we strongly recommend using Rallista, which is more reliable and less prone to rerouting.

- If you are interested in lodging, the provided hotels are located off I-75 at Exit 159, which are .5 mile from the morning rendezvous point. If unfamiliar with the area, we can assist you with other lodging options.

Event requirements
Preregistration is required via Motorsport Registry at this link. This is necessary to get an accurate count of drivers and guests, and to determine drive groups and staffing at the restaurant.
The BMW CCA Electronic Waiver is required via this link. The waiver requires a digital signature and photograph, thus a mobile device is best for this step.
Note: Preregistration DOES NOT take the place of driving event waivers. All Participants MUST electronically sign the waiver form BEFORE starting the tour.
